My first photo exhibition in Malaysia~

Did I make it sounds like I have been exhibiting my photos everywhere? Haha~ I used to exhibit once in my Uni. when I was the president of the PhotoSoc in the Student Union. (yeah.. I did say I was the president).

Atom and I was invited to show off our best shots in the recently Grand Opened Snips Academy - College of Creative Arts, located in Kompleks Karamunsing level 8. Here are the snpshots of our super humble Gallery:

Whats for this saturday?

Your challenge is to shoot a style that has been attempted by the world but only few succeed. We are shooting teens (or teens like) with colorful summer clothings.

Your challenge is to bring out the model (who is only amateur) real character, she must smile with her heart not her brain. She must jump, run or even lay down like you, photographers, are not around. Get it?

Get it, or get out!! :-)

Date: 14/03/2009 (Saturday) Last updated on 13/03/09. Confirmed.

Time: 6:30am

Venue: Bukit Padang Jungle, with staircase.

Story: A young and sexy lady, went back to the place where she share a happy teenage years with her puppy lover. And found out that all these happy memories are still as fresh as yesterday.

Mood Black: Matured, Dim Light, Secrecy, Evil, Dark makeup, red lipstick, Dark Clothing, etc. 

Mood White: Youth, High Contrast, Pure, Sweet, Light Makeup, bright clothing, etc.

Props: Lollipops, Child Plays, Barbie Dolls, Torch Light, Baby Bicycle, Bird Cage, Angle Wings (out of stock), etc.

Challenges: To create the sense of happiness, which link to Childhood memory. At the same time, to create the sense of sadness and deep thoughts the viewer can connect to their memory of growing pain.

Note:

1. It could be quite dark at 6am in the morning, so please bring along Torch Light and Mosquito repellent.

2. We need a Baby Bicycle, anyone can help out on this kah???

3. We need a old Bird Cage, anyone?

4. Kenny, pls remember to take your bicycle.

5. I got the birdcage, dolls and clothes.

6. Meeting place is in front of the entrance to the food court. See you guys on time.

Dear all,

Aiko shooting is now open for registration, we only can take maximum 5 photographers including the organiser. This is to ensure the quality of the shooting, it is only fair to the model (who only help us for non-commercial reason) and fair to the photographers (who only help the model for non-commercial reason, too.) We only can accept registration by leaving comment followed by the respective post, NOT on the chat box to the right hand side.

Please make sure you leave a comment saying you are commit to join the shooting so that no vacancy is wasted on that day. I have to say if you see there is already 5 registration before you, you would have to wait for the next round, hope everone understand the reason.

Let's enjoy our passion and let get better everyday (or every week) in doing what we LOVE to do~

Story: An office executive taking a weekend break in a relax country side.

Mood: Open space, colorful green and yellow, sunshine, smile, slippers, etc.

Props: Branded sun glasses, Nice Car, Picnic Clothing, Rubber Boots (size 6 to 7), Magazines, PDA, Dog (Anyone?)

Notes: In this shooting, we will try to create the mood of a relaxing weekend with a modern, young office executive, who has a hectic week and she just want to go back to the nature and enjoy the greens glass, mornig sun and smoothing breeze again. The shoot will try to capture the youth in the model with her sweet smiles and activities. 

Photo Slideshow: Please submit your photos before end of Thursday (05/03/09) following the guidelines followed.

1. Submit 3 best shots for each of the Scenes below:

• Scene Office.
  
• Scene Inside Car.
  
• Scene Bicycle Ride.
  
• Scene Padi Field.
  
• Scene Picnic.
  
• Scene Behind The Scene.

2. The best photos will be selected to be included in the slideshow from each scene.

3. Photographers are then adviced to think out of the box for their photos to be selected by the Slide Show creator. 

4. Please maintain size of photo by 1,000 pixel on the longest side. 72dpi.

I am falling in love with Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 more and more everyday~

Shoot handheld at 1/320s - f/1.4 - ISO 100, click on the image to zoom to full size at 72dpi. The sharpness of this lens is clearly seen on the model eyes. This lens is worth every ringgit I paid for it. If I didnt buy a diamond ring, I would buy another one of this! lol~

Errrr... It's time to get back to the real world dude...

I have been 'dipping' myself into the fantasy world of Photography for many months, and now I am rady to come back to work.. so... I guess I won't be putting too many photos here for a while, but no worry, I will be back in no time (maybe 3 to 4 months).
